Pedestrian Expected To Survive After Being Hit By SFPD Van

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A police van struck an apparently intoxicated man in San Francisco's South Beach neighborhood early Tuesday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

The approximately 40-year-old man was hit around 5 a.m. near Spear and Howard streets after walking into the roadway, San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Tracy Turner said.

The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor lacerations, Turner said.
