SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — A San Jose man is out on bail after allegedly fatally striking a motorcyclist while driving under the influence in San Jose Friday night, a police spokesman said.

Kavit Nand, 23, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, DUI, and hit-and-run for allegedly striking and killing 60-year-old motorcyclist Noel Reynoso, of Santa Clara, around 9:45 p.m., San Jose police Officer Albert Morales.

The fatal accident in the 1400 block of South White Road occurred when a Lexus believed to be driven by Nand was heading north on White Road, crossed into the southbound lane and struck Reynoso on his motorcycle.
