Electrical Fire Damages Alameda Apartment
ALAMEDA (CBS SF) -- An electrical fire damaged an apartment located above a business on Park Street Friday morning, according to the Alameda Fire Department.
The fire 1825 Park St. was reported at 8:43 a.m. when smoke was seen coming from the building, fire officials said.
Firefighters found a fire in a second-floor living unit located above a first-floor business, Scooter Importer.
The fire was quickly contained to the level where it started and extinguished with no injuries.
The fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical problem, officials said. Damage is estimated at around $25,000 to the structure and $10,000 to the contents.
