New Zealand Team Scores Eighth Point In America's Cup

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Emirates Team New Zealand won its eighth point in the America's Cup Saturday sailing unopposed.

The team has already won the round robin portion of the Louis Vuitton Cup, the America's Cup challengers series, which determines which team will face previous champion, Oracle Team USA.

After the cup is completed, the team will have the choice of advancing straight to the final or choosing its opponent for the semifinal round, race officials said.

Emirates Team New Zealand is scheduled to race against the Italian team Luna Rossa Challenge Sunday and the Swedish team Artemis Racing on Tuesday.
