Man Whose Body Found On I-880 Ramp Identified

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man whose body was found on an on-ramp to Interstate Highway 880 in San Jose on Monday afternoon has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 51-year-old Jean-Marc Delbecq.

About 4:20 p.m. Monday, the San Jose Fire Department notified the California Highway Patrol of a report of a body near the on-ramp from The Alameda to northbound I-880.

Someone working on a nearby rooftop had spotted the body near the sound wall along the cloverleaf-shaped on-ramp, CHP officials said.

The medical examiner's office has yet to perform an autopsy on Delbecq, who had no known city of residence, to determine what caused his death.

The CHP, which was handling the investigation, reported Tuesday that there was no evidence of foul play.
