Bicyclist Killed In Collision With Big Rig In San Francisco SoMa

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A woman riding a bicycle was killed in a collision with a semi truck in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to police.

The collision between the bicyclist and the big rig happened at 7:07 AM at 6th and Folsom Streets, police said.
The unidentified victim, who police estimated was 30 years old, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
At the time of the collision, 6th and Folsom, 6th and Howard, and 7th and Folsom streets were closed.  All streets have since reopened.
The police department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was handling the investigation.
