Woman Killed, Man Hurt In Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A woman was killed and a man was injured in a shooting on the streets of East Oakland late Thursday night, according to police.

At 11:36 p.m., Oakland police responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of 100th Avenue.

The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the shooting and the man was transported to a hospital, according to police.

No suspect information had been released and no suspects were in custody, police said.

The identity of the woman was being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.

The motive for the shooting remained under investigation.
