Man, 2 Children Found Clinging To Log After Jet Ski Sinks Near Antioch Marina

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A man and two children were rescued from the waters off the Antioch Marina Friday night after their Jet Ski sank, police said.

Antioch police were alerted that the boaters were missing at 8:16 p.m., several hours after they departed. Family members expecting them back reported they were missing.

Police and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office Aviation and Marine Patrols searched the area by air and water and eventually found the three clinging to a log.

The man, 30, and the two children, a 9-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, were pulled from the water and taken to shore. They were treated for hypothermia at the scene but were otherwise unharmed.

The Jet Ski had sank for an unknown reason, police said.
