Danity Kane Reunites At The MTV VMAs

BROOKLYN, NY (CBS NEWS/AP) - While all eyes were on the reported *NSYNC reunion at the 2013 MTV VMAs, another group reunion was actually in the works -- one featuring the gals of Danity Kane.

Members of the pop group, who rose to fame on MTV's "Making the Band," announced Saturday they were in reuniting. Aubrey O' Day posting a new promo pic of the group on Instagram:

Then the San Francisco-born O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard and Audrea Fimbres walked the red carpet of the MTV VMAs on Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and said, "We're baaaack!"

Original Danity Kane member, D. Woods won't be joining the group. She released the following statement: "Much love to the ladies of DK!! They have decided to reunite and I, like our amazing fans, will be cheering them on."

Danity Kane released its self-titled album in 2006 and a sophomore album "Welcome to the Dollhouse", on March 18, 2008. Following the release of their second top 10 hit single "Damaged," before announcing a split in 2009.
