Resident, Dogs Escape Burning Dublin Home

DUBLIN (CBS SF) - Fire crews extinguished a two-alarm house fire in Dublin Thursday, an Alameda County fire spokeswoman said.

Crews responded to reports of a fire at a home in the 8500 block of Wicklow Lane at 11:09 a.m., fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.

The one resident who was in the home was able to safely evacuate before firefighters arrived. The resident saved two dogs that were also in the home, Knowles said.

Knowles said the fire has since been controlled.

Crews from the Camp Parks Fire Department in Dublin, the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and Livermore-Pleasanton fire assisted in putting out the blaze.
