SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — San Francisco police were investigating the robbery of a bank in the city’s Western Addition neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 4:55 p.m. at a bank near the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Webster Street.

The suspect, a man believed to be around 60 years old, approached a bank teller and ordered him to hand over all $100 bills, police said.

The victim opened the register and the suspect grabbed cash, then fled from the bank. He simulated that he had a gun but no weapon was seen during the robbery, according to police.

The suspect had not been found as of Friday morning, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
