Car Hit In Shooting Outside Chevy's Restaurant In Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Police were investigating a shooting between two groups that occurred outside a restaurant in Santa Rosa on Thursday evening.
Around 7:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Chevys Restaurant located at 24 Fourth Street to investigate a report of a shooting.
According to police, two groups of people were allegedly arguing inside the restaurant. The argument moved to the parking lot on 4th Street near Railroad Square.
One subject pulled out a firearm and fired an undisclosed number of shots toward at least one member of the other group, police said.
A vehicle parked in the parking lot was struck by gunfire, but no individuals were struck during the shooting, according to police.
Police said at least one adult male suspect was seen running north along the railroad tracks away from the scene of the shooting.
Police detained one person in the vicinity of the shooting, but soon determined that he was not involved in the incident.
Detectives were called to the scene of the shooting to assist with the investigation, police said.
