Magnitude 2.9 Earthquake Strikes Near Fremont
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.9 was recorded near Fremont Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was reported at 3:50 p.m.
The epicenter was 4 miles east-southeast of Fremont, according to the USGS. The temblor had a depth of 6.3 miles.
