Kaepernick-Wilson Eyebrow Bet Video A Stunt
SEATTLE (CBS) -– It looks as though EA Sports manufactured the "eyebrow-shaving" bet that was supposedly setup between quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick.
The gaming company released a video on its YouTube channel late Sunday night showing Kaepernick about to shave off his eyebrow for losing the Week 2 matchup to the Seattle Seahawks, 29-3. However, the clip was clearly not recorded following the loss at CenturyLink Field — it was filmed at the time of the shoot for the Madden 25 trailer:
EA Sports had claimed the two made a wager stating that the losing QB has to shave off one eyebrow after the game.
Based off what happened Sunday night, Kaepernick was likely in no mood to shave off an eyebrow. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback failed to get anything going in the passing game, unable to break down the Seahawks' stellar secondary.
EA Sports hasn't come forward and openly admitted to the bet being a stunt.
