Larry Magid: Should You Wait To Install Apple's iOS 7?
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Apple's new operating system iOS 7 comes out on Wednesday, but before you do the install people are wondering if they should hold off to see what other people think.
As a reminder, it's a good time to clean out the clutter. You should look at your phone or iPad tablet and the apps and ask yourself, 'Do I use all of these?'
Go ahead and delete them if you don't. That way you don't have to worry about the update. Additionally, if you have pictures and video that's been sitting on your phone that you haven't backed up, it might be a good time to do that.
Another recommendation, which may seem silly, is to go ahead and update your system (meaning before you install the new operating system). That way Apple will be upgrading from its most recent version with the latest security updates.
Should You Wait To Install Apple's i OS 7?
If you're not the sort of person who needs to be on the cutting edge of technology, go ahead and wait a few days. Sometimes people report issues with the new operating systems within the first few days of its release.
If you're not a techie, you might want to wait for the initial reviews to come out.
