Suspect At Large After Fatal Oakland Shooting Saturday Night

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in East Oakland Saturday night.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5700 block of Foothill Boulevard at about 9:40 p.m., Officer M. Murphy said.

When officers arrived, they found a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Murphy said.

The victim was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later, he said.

No arrests have been made. The shooting remains under investigation.
