Teen Struck In Suisun City Hit-And-Run Crash

SUISUN CITY (CBS SF) -- A vehicle struck a 19-year-old man and then fled the scene in Suisun City on Wednesday night, police said.

At 7:09 p.m., police received a call reporting that a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of state Highway 12 and Emperor Drive in Suisun City.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and the vehicle was not there. A 19-year-old man with scrapes on his knees and elbows was located at the scene. He told emergency crews that he was in the crosswalk when he was struck.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian was described as a gold sports utility vehicle. It was last seen traveling northbound on Emperor Drive toward Pintail Drive, police said.

A witness and the victim both described the driver of the SUV as a heavy-set black woman who was wearing a scarf or headband, police said.

According to police, the driver briefly spoke with the victim and then sped away from the scene.
