SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A motorcycle collision on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge is blocking two lanes of westbound traffic Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision on westbound Interstate Highway 80 on the incline of the Bay Bridge was reported at about 6:45 a.m., according to the CHP.
The CHP issued a Sigalert at about 6:54 a.m.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries and the number of vehicles involved in the collision has not been released.
Heavy traffic across the Bay Bridge is also the result of a two-hour BART train delay this morning that forced many commuters to drive to work instead of taking the train.
