Fire At 3-Story SF Mission District Building Damages Restaurant

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A two-alarm fire at a three-story building in San Francisco's Mission District has been extinguished Friday morning, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 8:12 a.m. at a building in the 3300 block of 17th Street. It was declared under control at 9:03 a.m., fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.

The building where the fire burned housed Maverick Restaurant on the ground floor.

The restaurant's owner said the fire apparently started in the kitchen and spread to the apartments above.

He said the restaurant, located at 3316 17th St., was damaged in the blaze.

The restaurant was not yet open when the fire broke out, he said.
