2-Alarm San Jose Fire Displaces 9 Residents

SAN JOSE (KCBS) — Fire officials were investigating a two-alarm fire at Victorian duplex in downtown San Jose on Friday morning.

The fire located on North 12th and East Saint John Streets was first reported just after 5 a.m.

Fire officials told KCBS that 45 firefighter battled the blaze and took about an hour to contain. The structure sustained moderate to major damage.

No injuries were reported but nine people were displaced because of the fire and the Red Cross was on the scene to assist them.
