Fatal Crash Blocks Highway 1 Near Stinson Beach
STINSON BEACH (CBS SF) -- The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in Marin County that blocked state Highway 1 in both directions south of Stinson Beach.
A severe traffic alert was issued for the road and motorists were advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.
A vehicle was reported off a cliff next to the highway shortly before 4:25 p.m.
The Marin County coroner's office has been called to the scene.
