Overturned Car Blocks Lanes Of 101 Near Waldo Tunnel

SAUSALITO (CBS SF) - The California Highway Patrol has issued a Sig-alert because of a crash involving an overturned vehicle on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Marin County north of the Waldo Tunnel.

The vehicle spun out and overturned, blocking the two left lanes, around 11 a.m., according to the CHP.

The Sig-alert was issued to get motorists to slow down as they approach the crash site, CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.

The vehicle was driving downhill on that curvy portion of the highway, Barclay said. No injuries were reported, Barclay said.

The CHP is reminding motorists to slow down, especially on the downhill grades of U.S. Highway 101, when the roadway is wet, Barclay said.
