Bomb Squad Pulls Suspicious Device From SF Mission Apartment Building
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A bomb squad removed a suspicious device from a Mission District apartment in San Francisco Monday morning, a police spokesman said.
A front-desk employee called police around 8:15 a.m. to report the object in one of the apartments in the 3100 block of 16th Street, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The bomb squad responded and confiscated the object.
Police shut down 16th Street between Guerrero and Valencia streets until 9 a.m. when the area was deemed safe, Shyy said.
No injuries were reported.
