2 Hurt In Fairfield Shooting

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- Two people were injured in a shooting in Fairfield Sunday night, according to police.

About 10:15 p.m. on Sunday police received a report of a shooting in the 800 block of East Travis Boulevard near Dover Park.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a 30-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest, police said.

About an hour later, a 20-year-old Fairfield resident was brought into an area trauma center with gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder.

Both victims were expected to survive their injuries, police said.

Officers said the shootings appeared to be related and that both victims have criminal histories.

The Fairfield Police Department was attempting to identify any additional subjects who were involved in the shooting.
