Batkid Returns To Gotham City For Make-A-Wish Fundraiser

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) -- Batkid returned to Gotham City Saturday.

The 5-year-old known to friends and family as Miles Scott teamed up with San Francisco police officers for 'Brave the Bay', a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The all-day event got underway at Aquatic Park at Jefferson and Hyde streets.

It was the Make-A-Wish foundation that transformed the young leukemia survivor into the 'caped crusader' last November. Thousands watched as Batkid dashed about The City in his Batmobile, fighting crime and winning hearts.

Batkid was the special honoree at 'Brave the Bay'. The event, organized by the SFPD, included a 5K walk/run, a dive into the San Francisco Bay, and a cable car pulling contest.

The Scott family has founded the Batkid Fund to help support Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. All three organizations helped Miles during his battle with leukemia.
