Gas Pump Ignites Into Fireball After Oakland Crash

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A driver was arrested after a vehicle crash ignited a two-alarm blaze at a gas station in East Oakland Thursday morning, according to a fire dispatcher.

At about 2:20 a.m., emergency medical crews and firefighters responded to a vehicle crash at a 76 gas station located at the intersection of 98th and Edes avenues, a fire dispatcher said.

The fireball was caught on tape.

Firefighters were able to contain the two-alarm fire at the gas station and remained at the scene Thursday morning, according to a fire dispatcher.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and the collision remained under investigation.
