Elderly Pedestrian Struck, Killed In SF's Crocker Amazon Neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- San Francisco police say an elderly pedestrian was struck and killed in an intersection in the city's Crocker Amazon neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man was hit by a car at the intersection of Rolph and Naples around 3:30 p.m. and later died from his injuries at San Francisco General Hospital.

The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation. A spokesman said the driver is cooperating with police.

This is the second time a vehicle has killed a pedestrian in San Francisco this week.

According to police, there have been at least 19 pedestrian deaths in the city this year.
