Daily Madden: Luck Earning A Reputation For Being Clutch

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - With his team trailing 28 points at half-time, quarterback Andrew Luck led the Indianapolis Colts to a 45-44 playoff victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday.

"I wonder how you can take that when you have a 28 point lead," John Madden said of his friend, Chiefs coach Andy Reid. "When that game got to ten points, I said, 'Oh, oh. Kansas City is in trouble,'" Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "(Luck) has only been playing for a couple of years. But in those two years, that's been his big thing. Fourth quarter comebacks... You could just see it coming. When it was a big spread, I thought there was no way he was going to do it. But then when it got to ten points, I said 'it's in his range now for that fourth quarter comeback.'"

Next up for the Colts are the Patriots in New England.

After beating the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, the Saints travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks this weekend.

"I don't know that they can beat Seattle in Seattle, but they're going to give them a better game and a lot tighter game." The Saints lost to the Seahawks 34-7 in Seattle last month. "(But) I don't see them winning either." (6:35)
