FREMONT (CBS) — Two men wearing surgical masks burglarized a biotechnology company in Fremont last Monday, police said.
According to investigators, a janitor was working at the biotech company Zyomyx in the 6500 block of Dumbarton Circle when she interrupted two burglary suspects.
The suspects had broken a window and entered the building, police said.
The janitor saw the suspects run back toward the broken window after. She then called 911 and secured herself in an interior office, according to police.
Officers responded to the scene and set up a perimeter. Officers searched the property and surroundings but were unable to find the suspects, police said.
The two suspects were described as black men, approximately 20 years old, wearing surgical masks, according to police.
Investigators have not released whether any property was taken from the biotech company.
