Red-Flag Warning Issued For North, East Bay Hills Due To Fire Danger
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- With warm temperatures forecasted for the Bay Area the National Weather Service issued a red-flag warning in the North Bay and East Bay hills due to high winds and dry conditions that pose as fire hazards.
The red-flag warning began 10 p.m. Monday and is in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday, weather service officials said.
KPIX 5 Meteorologist Lawrence Karnow said this could be the driest January on record.
Gusts are expected to reach up to 40 mph at high elevations, officials said.

Humidity levels can reach between 10 to 20 percent at night and drop down between five to 10 percent during the day, according to weather officials.
