11-Year-Old Oakley Boy Dies From Gunshot Wound
OAKLEY (CBS SF) -- An 11-year-old boy in Oakley died by apparently accidentally shooting himself Wednesday evening, a Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman said.
The shooting was reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 1300 block of Yosemite Circle, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The preliminary investigation by Oakley police indicates that the boy's gunshot wound was accidentally self-inflicted, Lee said.
