San Jose Police Release Surveillance Video In String Of Armed Robberies
SAN JOSE (KCBS) – The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating suspects in a string of armed robberies last year.
The group of suspects is believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies, beginning at 3:00 a.m. on the morning of October 27, 2013. Police said the suspects committed an armed carjacking and pistol whipped the victim in the 2400 block of Fontaine Road. They then used the victim’s vehicle to commit six other armed robberies of pedestrians in a two hour span.
In each case, police said the robbers pistol whipped the victims.
Investigators said a black Cadillac Escalade and dark four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda or Toyota, have been linked to the suspects.
Police said at least three Hispanic males have been linked to the crimes. Surveillance video and images from one of the robberies clearly shows one suspect. Police describe him as a Hispanic male in his early to mid 20’s, between 5’8” and 5’10”, weighing 175-190 pounds, with short black hair and a goatee.
Police said the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
