Car Crashes Into Brisbane Home, Ruptures Gas Line

BRISBANE (CBS SF) -- Part of a neighborhood in Brisbane was evacuated Sunday morning after a car crashed into a home and ruptured its gas line, according to the North County Fire Authority.

Fire engines responded to reports of a vehicle that had driven into a single-family home at 310 Klamath St. at about 9:05 a.m., according to the fire authority.

The vehicle crashed into the residence and broke a natural gas line, causing a leak.

Police and fire crews evacuated eight surrounding homes and shut down vehicle access to the street, according to the fire authority.

PG&E crews helped secure the leak, which was capped within two hours, the fire authority said.

No one was injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
