Body Found In Motel Garbage Chute In SF's Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A woman found dead in a garbage chute at a hotel in San Francisco's Mission District has been identified by the medical examiner's office as 54-year-old Natalie Blaugh.

Blaugh's body was found at about 11:15 p.m. inside a chute at a hotel in the 400 block of Valencia Street, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

An employee at the Hotel Sunrise, located at 447 Valencia St., confirmed that the body was found there but declined to speak further about the case.

Shyy said investigators searched the area and inspected Blaugh's body but did not find any evidence of foul play.

The case is not being investigated as a homicide, and the medical examiner's office will determine the woman's cause of death, he said.
