49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh Tries Out Google Glass At NFL Scouting Combine

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – The San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is representing the team’s Silicon Valley roots with what could be the first official team use of Google Glass.

In a post on the team’s Twitter page, Harbaugh is seen trying on the wearable computer at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine.

An article on team’s website said the in-house TV production staffers brought four Google Glasses to the combine in order to enhance the coverage of the event.

Digital & Social Media Manager Scott Kegley wrote that Harbaugh did not hesitate when asked if he wanted to try out a pair.

Harbaugh is well aware of its potential on the football field, according to the article. “Let’s get our quarterbacks wearing them during practice and OTAs,” Harbaugh said.
