San Francisco State University Might Dump Gator Mascot

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco State University may be dumping its Gator mascot.

The San Francisco State Foundation Board is considering changing the long standing mascot in favor of incorporating the Golden Gate Bridge into a new look, according to board member, and KPIX 5 sports anchor Dennis O'Donnell.

The school first adopted the mascot in 1931.
