Lincecum Gets Big Win, Awarded $100,000 In Dispute With Ex-Landlord

SAN FRANCSICO (CBS SF) - Two time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum has won a settlement with a former landlord that sued him. The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting the Giants pitcher has been awarded a $100,000 settlement from the former landlord.

Minday Freile sued Lincecum in 2010 for allegedly damaging the townhouse Lincecum had been renting in the Mission District.

Freile sought $350,000 in damages.

Lincecum counter-sued, arguing the allegations were false and Freile had violated a state law requiring her to account for Lincecum's security deposit.

In a statement Lincecum said he was "pleased with the result" and that he always "believed this was an attempted on the landlord's part to take advantage of his public profile for financial gain."
