Salinas Man Arrested In Sex-Offender Sweep

SALINAS (CBS SF) — A Salinas man was arrested during a sweep for known sex offenders on Saturday afternoon, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Trevor Roy Fay, 23, was arrested shortly after 3 p.m. during a sweep conducted by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Task Force in the Salinas and North Monterey County areas, sheriff’s officials said.

The sweep included compliance checks and probation and parole contacts, according to sheriff’s officials.

Trevor Roy Fay, 23, is a registered sex offender arrested shortly after 3 p.m. when a probation search took place in his home, sheriff’s officials said.

He was allegedly found with less than an ounce of marijuana and associated smoking materials, according to sheriff’s officials.

Fay was arrested for alleged violation of probation and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, sheriff’s officials said.

He was booked into Monterey County jail.
