Pedestrian Killed By Amtrak Train In Oakley

OAKLEY (CBS SF) - A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train near downtown Oakley Wednesday afternoon, according to a sheriff's spokesman.

The fatal collision occurred near the intersection of Main Street and O'Hara Avenue, Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

The train involved in the collision has stopped, and a police investigation into the collision was underway.
