Canadians Are Invading San Francisco!

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Don't be surprised when you meet your friend at Union Square and they let out an "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" type of screech. Or in this case, a subtle "..eh." On Friday, March 28, Union Square in San Francisco turns into Canada for the day.

TravelAlberta brings the Canadian adventure to San Francisco to help kick off summer in Canada. Their hopes are to inspire a dream vacation to our beautiful and visually breathtaking neighbor up north.

A giant dome structure will be erected in Union Square with an indoor 360 degree immersive video experience showcasing Alberta, Canada's vast landscapes and other travel experiences. Find out what it's like to fly fish on a rushing mountain river, you can dig up ancient Albertosaurus dinosaur bones or simply sit fireside and gaze up onto nighttime Canadian sky. Guests will have the chance to explore what Canada has to offer as a vacation destination.

Admission is free and runs between 11:00am to 8:00pm.
