1 Killed In Rollover Crash On I-80 In Vacaville
VACAVILLE (CBS SF) -- One person was killed in a crash on Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville Sunday afternoon, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was first reported on westbound Highway 80 near Cherry Glen Road at about 3:45 p.m., CHP Officer Ogilvy said.
A vehicle overturned near an off-ramp and crashed into a tree, Ogilvy said.
One person inside the vehicle was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Ogilvy said.
Emergency responders had a right lane closed on Highway 80 for nearly two hours, according to the CHP.
All lanes reopened at about 5:40 p.m., though heavy traffic was reported for at least two miles behind the crash.
