American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy Reveals New Title Via Twitter

(CBS NEWS) - Ready to be freaked out by a new season of "American Horror Story"?

You're in luck -- the subtitle for the fourth installment of the anthology series has been announced, and it's "American Horror Story: Freak Show."

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy broke the news via Twitter on Monday.

The revelation comes after "AHS" writer Douglas Petrie confirmed season 4 would have a carnival theme.

"Very roughly, that's the idea," he said last week during the Nerdiest Writers Panel podcast.

Little else is known about the season as of yet, save for previous tidbits shared by Murphy -- it will be set in 1950 and Jessica Lange (returning for what she says will be her final season) "has already started practicing her German accent."

Ryan Murphy is also best known for the movie "Eat, Pray Love" starring Julia Roberts, the television series "Nip/Tuck" and "Glee."
