Kids Party On With Animals of The East Bay SPCA

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – East Bay and Contra Costa families will now have another choice to entertain the little ones. The East Bay SPCA now hosts birthday parties at both their Oakland and Dublin facilities.

The East Bay SPCA is taking reservations for Saturday birthday parties from 10:00am to 12Noon and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The program offers animal activities, a meet & greet with the animals and a behind the scenes tour of the SPCA. Of course, there will be time for cakes and presents.

The birthday program not only benefits the children, but the animals as well. Having these weekly activities keep the animals both mentally as well as physically healthy. The organizers have also found that the guests enjoy being there for the animals and that exposure to different activities enriches their lives.

15 guests per 2-hour party is the limit at a cost of $200 for the program. Just in case your kids don't want to tear themselves away from the animals, the SPCA provides a plush animal for the birthday girl or boy.
