15 Things To Do This Week In The Bay Area, Including Free First Sunday Museum Days

Hey! It’s Jayn and I’ve got another list of 15 things you can do in the Bay Area.

1 – Want to learn dances like the electric slide? This Thursday at 8:00pm come to the parlor in San Francisco for free dance lessons every hour on the hour.

2 – Learn about the magic of movies at the SF Film Society nightlife this Thursday starting at 6:00pm at the California Academy of Sciences.

3 – Get to the great wall of Oakland this Friday night at 7:00pm for 100 foot tall film night and enjoy cutting-edge motion art from around the world for free.

4 – Calling all bike riders, the San Francisco bike party will be meeting this Friday at 7:30 pm, all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in on the fun. Check sf bike party’s Facebook page for location and updates.

5 – Are you a car enthusiast? Then head to the In ‘n Out parking lot at the Fremont Auto Mall at 9:00pm this Friday to check out some sweet rides at the giant monthly car meet.

6 –Bank of America and Merrill Lynch card holders get free admission to six Bay Area museums this weekend. This month’s participating museums are the contemporary Jewish Museum, Legion of Honor, de Young Museum, San Jose Museum of Art, the Tech Museum of Innovation, and Chabot Space and Science Center.

7 – Get an up-close look at a restored Cold War anti-aircraft missile site and hear stories from veterans, park rangers, and volunteers this Saturday at the Nike missile site in Sausalito at 12:30pm.

8 – Elevate your mind and lift your hearts under the open sky at Dolores Park at a Kundalini yoga class, this Sunday at 12:00pm.

9 – “Battle of the Decades” DJ party is happening this Friday night at Monroe in San Francisco starting at 6:00pm with $1 drinks and ‘70s music for the first hour, each hour bumps the music to the next decade and drinks increase by $1.

10 – Grab your dog this Friday and head on down to doggy yappy hour for free sweets and dog treats located at K9 Scrub Club in San Francisco, starts at 6:00pm.

11 – Is your favorite plant sick? Bring it down to the sick plant clinic at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden between 9:00am and 12:00pm to find out which diseases ail your plants.

12 – The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco is one of the largest museums in the western world devoted exclusively to Asian art with a collection of over 17,000 artworks; they are offering free admission this Sunday (The first Sunday of the month) from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

13 – This Sunday the Oakland Museum of California is offering free admission from 11:00am to 5:00pm, it is the only museum to focus entirely on the art and history of California.

14 – Off the Grid Presidio picnic and food truck party season kick-off is this Sunday at the main post lawn starting at 11:00 AM. Get out and enjoy the beautiful bay area weather and great food.

15 – Sunday, April 6 is the last day of the Macy’s flower show; enjoy the celebration of flowers, food, art and music at Macy’s Union Square.
