Manhunt For 3rd Suspect Wanted In Spree Of Oakland Armed Robberies

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Oakland police say they have identified and arrested two of three suspects wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies in businesses in North Oakland and elsewhere in the city.

Police released photos in February of suspects involved in a series of robberies and asked the public for help in identifying the three men.

Tips came in, and police have been able to locate two suspects, but a third remains at large. Police have re-released a photo of the outstanding suspect to the public in hopes of identifying and locating him.

The three suspects are thought to have been involved in robberies at service-oriented businesses on or near major North Oakland streets including San Pablo, College and Telegraph avenues, police said.

The suspects were described as black men associated with a 2007 silver Dodge Nitro, with the license plate 6DEK551. The suspect vehicle has been recovered, according to officers.

Anyone who sees the outstanding suspect should not approach him but should call 911 by landline or (510) 777-3211 by cellphone.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity or whereabouts can speak to an investigator or leave an anonymous tip by texting TIP OAKLANDPD to 888777, followed by a tip, or by calling 855-TIPS-247 or on the web at nixle.us/tip/oakland-police-department-ca.
