15 Things You Can Do In The Bay Area This Week — April 20th-April 27th

Hi, it’s Jayn with another “15 Things You Can Do in the Bay Area” from Geico.

1 – This Thursday at the Main Post Lawn in the Presidio “Off The Grid” will be holding Twilight Campfire Party, the food trucks will begin serving food at 5:00 p.m.

2 – Join Josey Baker for Bread Making 101 this Thursday at the San Francisco Main Library starting at 6:00 p.m., this is the first true entry-level bread-baking cookbook.

3 – Friday Nights at the de Young is a great opportunity to kick off the weekend right with the entire family, doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a mix of live music, dance performances, film screenings, lectures, hands on activities and more.

4 – DogFest 2014 is finally here, happening this Saturday at Duboce Park in San Francisco starting at 11:00 a.m. Enter your dog or watch others compete for best trick, best costume, best coat and more, with celebrity judge Top Chef Chris Consentino.

5 – Free Caribbean dance classes are being offered by Sistas-Wit-Style to prepare you for the San Francisco Carnival. So head on down to New Karibbean City in Oakland this Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

6 – Think you’re a dedicated Simpsons fan? Join the 90’s Simpsons Trivia Night and Watch Party this Sunday starting at 6:00 p.m. at The Knockout in San Francisco.

7 – Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show is a massive celebration of mechanical ingenuity, power and style known as the “Coolest Show on Earth”. Cars, planes, motorcycles, tractors, and more this Sunday starting at 10 a.m. located at the Half Moon Bay Airport.

8 – The San Francisco Symphony is preforming this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall.

9 – Check out one of the most promising up-and-coming indie rock bands in the U.S. known as The National, they will be preforming this Saturday at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley at 7:00 p.m.

10 – The Giants face off against the Indians for a three-game series starting this Friday night at 7:15 p.m. at AT&T park.

11 – Second game is Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

12 – Third game is Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

13 – Gray whale watching is happening this Saturday starting at 9:00 p.m. at Pillar Point Harbor through the Oceanic Society. For additional information visit http:www.oceanicsociety.org.
