Thomas Stern was awaken by the sounds of the girl's howling sobs.

"She yelled that someone had sprayed her in the eyes with something," he said. "Then shortly after that, I think she yelled that someone had raped her. Then she collapsed to the ground, she was totally in shock, yelling and crying."

The girl is being treated at Highland Hospital. Her condition is unknown.

She was also being interviewed by police.

"Seeing a naked person that hysterical that early in the morning, you would think it's just some crazy person," said Stern. "But who knows what really could have happened. It makes me worry about our community around here."

The Oakland Police Department is the lead agency and they are still trying to sort out all the details relating to this incident.

No word on whether there is information on a possible suspect at this time.
