Hi, it’s Jayn with another 15 things you can do in the Bay Area.
1 – This Thursday May 8th at 7:00pm is free movie night at the Orinda Theatre. So grab your family and friends to enjoy a classic movie title and maybe catch a special guest appearance.
2 – Head on down to the Mission Community Market this Thursday May 8th starting at 4:00pm at Mercado Plaza. Bring the family to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, street food, live music, arts, and after-school activities.
3 – Central Market Now activates, promotes, and celebrates the local Arts and businesses in the Central Market neighborhood. Event starts at 5:30pm on Friday May 9th at Freespace 2.0 in San Francisco; the event features open houses, free performances, exhibits, and merchant promotions.
4 – Second Fridays Art Walk is happening in San Rafael at 5:00pm. Discover art, wine, entertainment, and more on Fourth Street in downtown San Rafael this Friday night.
5 – Need a new book to read? Join the San Francisco Public Library in the Mission Saturday May 10th starting at 10:00pm for the $1 book sale.
6 – Free Outdoor Yoga is being offered on Saturday mornings at 11:00am in Golden Gate Park, meet the group at the Big Rec Baseball Field in the park, near Lincoln Way and 9th Avenue.
7 – The Exploratorium in San Francisco will be offering free admission this Sunday to all visitors all day in celebration of Mother’s Day.
8 – The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito will be offering free admission this Sunday May 11th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The center offers educational programs and docent-led tours, plus numerous exhibits and public viewing areas.
9 – Calling all A’s fans! Come out and support your team as they host the Nationals for a 3 game series at O.co coliseum starting this Friday at 7:05pm.
10 – First pitch for the second game is set for 6:05pm on Saturday.
11 – Third game is on Sunday at 1:05pm.
12 – Kick off Mother’s Day with an awesome lunch by joining Off the Grid for Picnic at the Presidio at 11:00am. Expect live music, free games, and stands from San Francisco restaurants, food trucks, local farms and retailers.
13 – East Bay Bike Party is happening this Friday at 7:30pm. All ages, experience levels, and bike types are welcome! Be sure to check out their website at East Bay Bike Party to get the theme and secret meeting location.
14 – “Jack of All Trades” Indie Craft and Antique Market will be taking place Saturday May 10th starting at 11:00am in Jack London Square. The event features a curated mix of nearly 100 local makers, Indie designers, collectors, artists, start-ups and more.
15 – Asian Art Museum will be holding their late night Thursdays at 5:00pm, tickets are only $5 compared to the regular admission rate of $12. Enjoy the latest exhibits without the weekend crowds.
