3-Year-Old Vallejo Girl Expected To Recover After Being Bitten By Neighbor’s Pit Bull

VALLEJO (CBS SF) — A 3-year-old girl has been hospitalized after witnesses said she was bitten in the head by a neighbor’s pit bull on Thursday afternoon.

The attack took place on the 200 block of Louisiana Street around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

According to witnesses, the girl’s father pried the dog’s jaws off her daughter’s head. Paramedics took the girl to the hospital. People on the scene said the girl should recover.

The pit bull was taken away by Animal Control officers. Authorities said Friday that the dog has been quarantined and a hearing will decide the pit bull’s fate.
