SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A giant yellow box in the middle of San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza is getting lots of attention.

The locker named ‘Giant,’ which has its own security guards, allow shoppers to pick up packages without having them dropped off outside a home, where they can be easily stolen.

Packages are shipped to the locker, where buyers enter an online code to receive their order.

But, some people still prefer getting their shipments the old fashioned way.

“I love my UPS guy. I want the UPS guy coming to my door giving me my daily hug,” Amelia Neffadi of Bolinas said.

Amazon currently has eight lockers throughout San Francisco.
